Cactus Exclusive Art Apartments were designed to offer an alternative, artistic experience of hospitality in Hydra, Greece. The property comprises five rooms, each featuring a unique interior, decorated with murals representing various types of cacti. The cacti form the foundation of an eclectic aesthetic that shape a novel experience and embodies the five pillars of the hotel’s philosophy: hospitality, comfort, indulgence, prosperity and timelessness.
The visual identity explores the structural elegance of cacti, aiming to create a unique visual language that harmonises with the apartments’ inspired decorative nature. A bespoke typeface was designed, with elongated stems, sharp terminals, and high contrast, with playful alternatives that mimic the organic and versatile forms of cacti. The sans-serif typeface, in uppercase lettering only, offers two weights for use in the logotype and headlines.
The website employs a vibrant and refined colour palette inspired by the murals, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in Hydra’s rich cultural heritage and natural scenery.
