I was commissioned to design the identity and website for the very talented architect Roxani Maragkoudaki and her design studio named ‘Ailo’. Her work is influenced by contemporary architects like Luis Barragan and movements like European modernism. She uses bright bold colours, clean forms and modern materials.

‘Ailo’ in Greek means ‘intangible’ and thus the name translates into the concept of the intangible thought being realised through materials. Aiming to depict this idea through a self-reflective design system, I studied her work and created forms that derive from elements found in her architectural plans. These forms were then transformed into letters creating a multi-faceted logo with several alternatives, depicting the material world.

The Studio Ailo website is designed around the idea of an architectural floor plan of an imaginary space where each room represents a project.
